What: A K-12 educational tablet paired with a cloud-based platform to enhance digital learning in schools.

The story:
In response to the French education system's need for digital tools to engage K-12 students, Guillaume Largillier and I developed the concept of the Galago, a dedicated educational tablet for K-12. Featuring a multitouch screen, a passive stylus for seamless writing and drawing, and a durable silicone case to prevent damage, the tablet was designed with students' needs in mind. Successfully deployed in schools across the Bordeaux area, the pilot project served over 500 pupils for two years. While the project showcased promising results in enhancing classroom learning, it did not scale to mass production due to political decisions.

Key roles:
Conceived the original concept for the tablet and platform.
Led the project’s development, overseeing both hardware and software engineering.

Key numbers:
Completed the project within an 18-month timeline.
Produced 500 units in-house for pilot deployment.
Operated in the field for 2 years, supported by a $2M budget
